Here's a unikely stop I had to pull up to. The Unremodeled Tagret
located on 800 Walkins Rd in no other than Maryville, Tennessee. Who
know this location could get away with their 1997 Design Package instead
of remodeling to the 2004 or 2009 Desgn Package. This is one of the
last Targets in the world with the 1997 Design Package, alst in the
Knoxville area after a Knoxville store remodeled in 2017 to the latest
design package Target has to offer. I also had to do a tour because the
nearby Kmart closed back in 2016 (It was converted into Rural King).
This Target (#1250) opened back on March 1, 2000 which makes it one of
the first stores to open in the 2000's and one of the last getting the
1997 design package. Possblym to team mebers, this store looks like a
huge dinosaur. This location recently remodeled to 2.0 in 2018 so ckeck
out this blog post to see this location before the 2.0 remodel.
Here's the exterior photos (Screenshots) I took
|
If you approch this location from the left hand side going down Walkins, you'll get this shot. |
|
Here's when you enter the plaza it's in. It looks identical to the Warwick Bald Hill Plaza location (Former Lechmere). |
|
Here's the extra red Target carts stored outside the store (Kmart's carts are grey with "KMART" on them). These are the new carts with the older design (The Lancaster, Ohio Target has those same carts as well) |
|
This location strikes a resemblance with the Warwick Bald Hill Plaza store (Store #1188) |
Here's a shot of the former Kroger and a Home Depot before the tour began
|
THe Plaza that the Maryville Target is in is very small. Only Anchored by thee P97 Target and Kroger (CLOSED). The Junior Anchors are the Payless Shoesource (CLOSED), Luxe Nails, and Supercuts. |
|
Home Depot also has a store accorss the street that says "Home Depot" on the outside, very unique. |
